🚀 Youth Exchange "Nature Lab: Youth Skills for a Sustainable Future"

From 11 to 19 July, the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange “Nature Lab: Youth Skills for a Sustainable Future” took place in Perma Halos, Romania, bringing together young people from Armenia, Belgium, Portugal, Bulgaria, Italy, Greece, Romania, and Spain. The Armenian team proudly represented our country under the coordination of Inednet NGO, in cooperation with the Romanian NGO Friends of Children in Romania.

The project aimed to strengthen young people’s environmental awareness and green competences through non-formal education, encouraging sustainable lifestyles, climate responsibility, and active citizenship. Throughout the programme, participants explored practical ways to reduce environmental impact by promoting sustainable travel, minimizing waste, using digital documentation, and embracing eco-friendly practices.

The exchange combined theory with practice through a diverse programme of experiential outdoor learning, adventure-based activities, leadership and communication exercises, risk management and safety simulations, emotional intelligence reflection circles, and teamwork challenges. Living together in a rural Romanian village, surrounded by nature and with limited comfort, created a unique learning environment that encouraged resilience, cooperation, adaptability, and personal growth.

Each day concluded with reflection and feedback sessions, allowing participants to evaluate their learning, exchange experiences, and strengthen intercultural understanding. Beyond developing practical skills, the project fostered meaningful friendships, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to building a more sustainable future.

We are proud that the Armenian team had the opportunity to be part of this inspiring international experience and to contribute to meaningful discussions and activities alongside participants from across Europe.
