🚀PLAY FAIR: When Sport Transforms Social Inclusion

From 3 to 7 November 2025, youth workers, educators, trainers, and project leaders from across Europe and neighbouring regions gathered in Marrakech, Morocco, for the Erasmus+ community-of-practice event International Tool Fair: PLAY FAIR – Sport as a Tool for Social Impact (19th edition). Represented by Tigran Karapetyan, INEDNET NGO joined participants committed to exploring how sport and educational tools can foster inclusion, participation, and positive social change.

Throughout the programme, participants engaged in workshops and interactive sessions exploring how sports rules can be adapted to include individuals with diverse abilities, including people with disabilities. These discussions highlighted how simple or creative adjustments can transform sports into accessible and empowering activities for all participants.

Another central topic concerned the pedagogical risks of over-adjusting sport rules. While inclusivity is essential, participants reflected on the danger of creating rules so challenging or restrictive that young people—especially teenagers—might begin avoiding the activity altogether. This avoidance, as discussed, can lead to negative educational patterns, such as perceiving difficulty as something to escape rather than engage with. Facilitators underlined the need for balance: keeping sports both inclusive and motivating.

The International Tool Fair also served as a vibrant networking platform. Participants took part in exchanges about future cooperation possibilities, including joint projects, shared tool development, cross-sector initiatives, and partnerships with organisations from different countries. These conversations strengthened the potential for long-term collaboration and knowledge-sharing across borders.

Being part of the XIX International Tool Fair in Marrakech allowed INEDNET NGO to learn from European peers, explore innovative approaches, and build new international connections. The experience reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to inclusive education and strengthened its capacity to integrate sport-based tools into its ongoing activities for social impact.
