🚀 Conflict and War – A Lesson from the Present for a Safe Future!

From May 7 to 13, 2025, young people from Armenia, Poland, Cyprus, Jordan, Albania, Ukraine, North Macedonia, and Romania came together in Paralimni, Cyprus, for the Erasmus+ training course “Conflict and War – A Lesson from the Present for a Safe Future,” organized by NECI EU. INEDNET was proudly represented by Alla Khachatryan and Ashot Chokekchyan.

This impactful international project brought together youth workers from countries affected by conflict to explore the roots of war, its impact on societies, and the role of youth in peacebuilding. Through a dynamic program of interactive sessions, engaging presentations, and powerful workshops, participants shared experiences, developed new advocacy tools, and learned from one another’s contexts.

The Armenian team delivered a presentation and workshop focusing on the current realities of conflict and displacement in Armenia, particularly in the aftermath of the 2023 forced displacement of ethnic Armenians from Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh). The session highlighted the humanitarian consequences, challenges of integration and access to rights, and the emotional toll on young people and communities affected by the crisis. Using non-formal methods and interactive discussion, the workshop created space for participants to reflect on shared struggles and the importance of solidarity in times of war and uncertainty.

A memorable cultural highlight of the project was a group visit to the stunning Ayia Napa sea caves and the Open Sculpture Museum, offering a space for reflection and connection beyond borders.

Our representatives return inspired, equipped with new perspectives, strengthened partnerships, and practical approaches to promoting peace and dialogue in their local and international work.
